Connect Oxylabs proxies

A Residential Proxies plan and a proxy user. Oxylabs lets you add proxy users (sub users) in its dashboard; the login and password of the proxy user go into the line, not those of your Oxylabs account.

The Endpoint generator in the dashboard (Residential Proxies, then Endpoint generator) builds lists of endpoints with the parameters you choose. If a line of its list has host, port, login and password, ARMANOS reads it; otherwise build the line as shown below.

One entry point serves every country. Oxylabs also has country entry nodes, but SOCKS5 does not work with them: over SOCKS5 the country goes into the login.

The login is customer- followed by the name of your proxy user. The password is the password of that user.

Settings follow the user name: -cc-DE picks Germany, -city-berlin picks a city together with cc, and -sessid- with a string of letters and digits keeps one address for that string.

A session lasts 10 minutes by default, or ends after 60 seconds without requests, whichever comes first. -sesstime- with a number of minutes keeps it longer, up to 1440 minutes, that is 24 hours. Oxylabs warns that the residential pool changes and a session can end sooner; then start a new one with a new string.

For a profile this means one session string per profile, and a sesstime as long as the work in that profile.

The line below is written in the host:port:login:password shape. Put your own proxy user name and password in place of the capital letters.

   Open Proxies

   The Proxies tab in the left column.

   Press Paste a list

   The button above the list.

   Paste one line per profile

   Change only the session string from line to line: profile7, profile8 and so on.

   Press Import

   Lines that could not be read are listed word for word.

The Proxy cell of a profile in the list opens the proxy picker. New proxy as a line… at its bottom takes the same line, shows how it was read, and Add and assign saves it to the library and gives it to that profile.

Oxylabs lists targets closed on its residential network: streaming and entertainment, banks and other financial sites, government sites, games, ticketing, mail, ads, and sites that check the IP address. Oxylabs says some of them open after a short KYC procedure with its support.

Oxylabs also writes that Google Chrome does not support authentication for SOCKS5 proxies and suggests HTTP or HTTPS when SOCKS5 fails. A SOCKS5 proxy with a password works on the ARMANOS Browser engine; the built in engine connects to SOCKS5 only without a password.
