Connect Decodo (formerly Smartproxy) proxies

A residential plan and a proxy user. Decodo creates a proxy username and password when you buy a plan, in Residential, Authentication of its dashboard; more users are added there, and Proxy setup can also create users and passwords.

In Proxy setup Decodo offers two session types: Rotating, where the address changes with every request, and Sticky, where it stays for 1, 10, 30 or 60 minutes.

One entry point and one port serve every country. SOCKS5 works only through this entry point: the country endpoints Decodo also has do not take it.

The login is user-, then your proxy username, then the settings. The password is the password of that proxy user.

-country-de picks Germany, -city-new_york picks a city inside the chosen country, -session- with any string of yours keeps one address, and -sessionduration- sets its length in minutes, from 1 to 1440. Without sessionduration a session lasts 10 minutes.

Decodo warns that the longer the session, the more likely the address changes before the time is up, because the home device behind it goes offline.

For a profile this means one session string per profile. Over SOCKS5 Decodo needs the session parameter as well: without it the address changes with every request even when sessionduration is set.

The line below is written in the host:port:login:password shape. Put your own proxy username and password in place of the capital letters.

   Open Proxies

   The Proxies tab in the left column.

   Press Paste a list

   The button above the list.

   Paste one line per profile

   Change only the session string from line to line: profile7, profile8 and so on.

   Press Import

   Lines that could not be read are listed word for word.

The Proxy cell of a profile in the list opens the proxy picker. New proxy as a line… at its bottom takes the same line, shows how it was read, and Add and assign saves it to the library and gives it to that profile.

Decodo closes these kinds of sites on all its proxies: banking and other finance, including crypto, government sites, entertainment such as Netflix, the Apple and Google stores, ticketing, gaming, mail, streaming, business and telecommunications.

Mail, streaming and business open after ID verification on rotating residential plans. For the rest Decodo takes unblock requests through its support.
