Knowledge base

You were signed out on this computer

The app shows this window when the sign-in on this computer was ended from somewhere else. The line under the title names the reason. Profile data on this computer stays where it was, and the profiles open again after you sign in to the same account.

The session was ended from another device

Someone pressed End session or End all other sessions under Where you are signed in. If it was not you, sign in and change your password.

The password changed or two-step sign-in turned on

The account password was changed: sign in with the new password. Or two-step sign-in was turned on: sign in with the password and the code from the app.

The team ended this sign-in

A team owner or administrator ended this sign-in, reset its password or changed the login. Ask the team owner for the new password or login.

If the window says the team closed this login when the person was removed, only the team owner can give access again by creating a new login.

Rarer reasons

This computer's sign-in key was also used somewhere else, so the session was ended to be safe. Sign in again and change your password.

This account was signed in again with this computer's ID. If that was not you, sign in and change your password.

Access to this account was closed: ARMANOS closed access to the account, or a request to delete the account came in. Write to support if you think it is a mistake.

The session was ended, and only the time is named: the sign-in was not used for 30 days, or the API key it was made with was revoked. Sign in again.

What stays and what waits

Open profiles were closed without asking. Their data is on this disk, and nothing was erased.

Until you sign in, profiles do not open, and nothing goes to your sync folder or comes from it. After the sign-in, what waited in the profiles goes to the folder by itself.

  1. 1

    Press Sign in

The email of this account is already in the window.

  2. 2

    Enter the password

And the code from the app if two-step sign-in is on.

  3. 3

    Open a profile

The lock is off, and the profiles open.

What this does not do

  • Signing out here does not lift the lock. In the app window, only a sign-in to the same account does.
  • A sign-in to another account does not open the profiles of this one.
  • Through the local API, a sign-in to another account takes the place of the ended one and lifts the lock, but the profiles of the earlier account still do not open.

Where this is decided

Each line is a file you can open.

Questions

Why not just let me keep working?
The session is ended so that whoever sits at this computer cannot keep using your account. That is the point of ending it.
Where do I see who ended it?
On another device, under Where you are signed in: the list Ended in the last 30 days names the reason of each ended line.
