Proxies from any provider

Paste a list on the Proxies screen reads one proxy per line, in the shapes sellers send. The same reading runs in New proxy as a line… in the proxy picker of a profile, and in the Paste a proxy line field of the New profile and Add proxy windows.

A line without a scheme takes the protocol chosen in Protocol for lines without one; a scheme written in the line wins. After a vertical bar a line may carry a name, and a link from the seller that changes the IP, as in the last row. The semicolon form protocol;host;port;login;password, as another antidetect browser exports it, is read as well.

Most providers give one entry point and put the country and the session into the login. IPRoyal puts them into the password; Webshare Direct and static proxies give every proxy its own address instead.

Two profiles leaving through one address is the pattern a platform reads as one person. With an entry point, give every profile its own session string; with a list of fixed proxies, give every profile its own line.

A session does not live forever, and each provider counts it differently:

• Bright Data

  The session keeps its peer while the peer is online; with -const a lost peer is an error instead of a new peer.

• Oxylabs

  10 minutes, or 60 seconds without requests, by default; up to 1440 minutes with -sesstime-.

• Decodo (formerly Smartproxy)

  10 minutes by default; 1 to 1440 minutes with -sessionduration-.

• IPRoyal

  From 1 second to 7 days, set with _lifetime-.

• Webshare

  A Direct proxy keeps its address until the list is refreshed or the proxy replaced.

• DataImpulse

  About 30 minutes with sessid; 1 to 120 minutes on a sticky port.

• SOAX

  Ends after 60 seconds without requests.

• Proxy-Cheap

  Up to 30 minutes on rotating residential proxies; static proxies keep their address.

Test goes through the proxy to public address services and shows the exit address, the country and the city. When it gets no answer, the cause is usually one of these, and pasting the line again fixes none of them.

• The account password instead of the proxy password

  Oxylabs and Proxy-Cheap both warn that the proxy user has its own login and password, separate from the account.

• The provider closes address checkers

  Test asks ipwho.is, ipinfo.io, ipapi.co and get.geojs.io, and Oxylabs lists IP checking sites among closed targets. The proxy can work while Test gets no answer: open the provider's own address page inside the profile.

• The account is not approved yet

  Bright Data opens residential proxies only after KYC.

• SOCKS5 with a password on the built in engine

  The built in engine connects to SOCKS5 only without a password; the ARMANOS Browser engine takes both.

• The protocol does not match the proxy

  IPRoyal takes SOCKS5 on another port, 32325; mobile proxies at Proxy-Cheap speak SOCKS5 and HTTPS, not HTTP.

• An IP whitelist

  With whitelist authentication, the public address of your network has to be on the list, again after a change of network or VPN.
