Connect Webshare proxies

A plan and its Proxy List page. The Connection Method menu on that page offers Direct, Rotating Proxy Endpoint and Backbone, and all three take HTTP and SOCKS5 on the same port.

Direct uses the address of each proxy itself, and every proxy has its own 4 digit port. Webshare offers it with all datacenter and static residential plans.

Rotating Proxy Endpoint and Backbone use one Webshare domain, shown in the table. The Rotating Proxy Endpoint changes the proxy from your list on every request; Backbone keeps that domain as the address while the addresses behind it change.

The username and password are on the Proxy List page with the connection details. With Direct one username and password serve every proxy in the list.

For a profile, Direct is the method that keeps an address: one line of the list per profile. The Rotating Proxy Endpoint changes the proxy on every request, so one profile would leave through different addresses within one visit.

Residential plans go through the same domain, and their Endpoint Generator picks a country and a Rotating or Sticky session. To take proxies of one country, Webshare puts its code, such as us or gb, into the username field.

The line below is a Direct proxy written in the host:port:login:password shape. The address and port are placeholders: copy your own from the Proxy List, one line per proxy.

   Open Proxies

   The Proxies tab in the left column.

   Press Paste a list

   The button above the list.

   Paste one line per profile

   Each line is one proxy of your list; give each profile its own line.

   Press Import

   Lines that could not be read are listed word for word.

The Proxy cell of a profile in the list opens the proxy picker. New proxy as a line… at its bottom takes the same line, shows how it was read, and Add and assign saves it to the library and gives it to that profile.

Webshare describes Direct as the fastest method and also as prone to interruptions: it suits lists that do not change through refreshes or replacements.

Rotating and Backbone are slightly slower, by 0 to 100 milliseconds by Webshare's count.
