- Account banAn account ban is a platform's decision to close or suspend an account, taken on its side and not undone from a browser.
- Account warmingAccount warming is building a new account up slowly so its first days read as a person settling in rather than a script.
- Antidetect browserAn antidetect browser is a browser that keeps each account in a profile of its own, with its own device values and its own way out.
- API keyAn API key is a long random string a program sends instead of a password to act on one account.
- ASN (Autonomous System Number)An ASN is the number of the network an address belongs to, and it says who runs that address rather than where it sits.

- CAPTCHAA CAPTCHA is a test a site shows when it wants proof that a person, and not a program, is asking.
- Chrome DevTools ProtocolChrome DevTools Protocol is the channel a program uses to drive a Chromium browser and read back what it shows.
- ChromiumChromium is the open source browser project that Chrome and most other desktop browsers are built from.
- Chromium forkA Chromium fork is a browser compiled from patched Chromium sources, so its behaviour is changed before any page runs.
- Code signingCode signing is a signature on a program that names its publisher and shows that the bytes have not changed since.
- Cookie jarA cookie jar is the store of cookies a browser keeps, together with the rules deciding which cookie goes with which request.

- Datacenter proxyA datacenter proxy is an exit address from a hosting network, rented per address for a month rather than per gigabyte of traffic.
- Device farmA device farm is a rack of real phones or computers, one account to a device, used to keep accounts apart by hardware.
- Device fingerprintA device fingerprint is an identifier built from the machine itself: its screen, its graphics chip, its cores and its memory.
- Device memoryDevice memory is the amount of memory a browser reports, rounded down to a power of two and never above eight.
- Digital fingerprintA digital fingerprint is everything a service can learn about you without asking, from the device up to the way you behave.
- DNS leakA DNS leak is your own machine asking which address a site has, while the visit itself goes out through a proxy.

- Encryption at restEncryption at rest is protection applied to stored data, so a copy of the file is worth nothing to whoever holds no key.
- EntropyEntropy is the measure of how far one reading narrows the crowd a browser could be hiding inside.

- User-Agent Client HintsUser-Agent Client Hints are request headers and a script object through which a browser reports its identity in separate fields.
