How to warm up a new account in its first week, day by day

You open an account in the morning and run a full day of work through it by evening. A platform weighs that day against the ones before it, and a new account has none. Below is the seven day ramp: how many pages, how many likes, and on which day.

El equipo de ARMANOS8 min

What the first day holds

Day one is the day you made the profile, not the day you first signed in to the account from it. The app does not know the sign-in date and cannot, while the profile creation date it remembers by itself.

On day one take a fifth of what you plan for day seven. A social profile gets 40 pages open against 200, an ads account 8 against 40.

  1. 1

    A fifth on day one

A social profile opens 40 pages instead of 200, an ads account 8 instead of 40.

  2. 2

Half of it by day three

    The share runs 20, 35, 50, 65, 80, 90 and 100 percent, one step per day.

  3. 3

The full number from day seven

From day seven a profile carries the full number for its kind of work.

Seven days by share

The share does not climb evenly: four steps add 15 percent each, the last two add 10. The steep part falls mid week.

One ramp covers every kind of work, and the number under it differs. The age of the profile stays the same across that change: switch the scenario on day four, and day four carries on with the new number. Change the kind of work and the whole column changes.

Not every action costs the same

On the profile card you see one bar for the pages you opened, Safe pace, and beside it the Safe daily ceiling rows with a separate number for each kind of platform action.

Those numbers are shown rather than tallied: a browser sees a page open, not a request sent. That is also why those rows carry no colour: there is nothing to colour them by; the only second line on each is the threshold, «warning at N».

The tightest line of the week

Account switching: one on day one, two even on day seven. Holding five accounts means five profiles of their own, not one window for all five.

An ads account has less room

An ads account opens 8 pages on day one and 40 on day seven. A social profile has those 40 on its first day. The fivefold gap comes from the scenario: inside an ads account one action costs more than a hundred likes.

The expensive actions inside it come down to one, and they do so from day one. Payment details are edited once a day for the whole ramp.

Filling a profile before the login

A profile made five minutes ago arrives at a platform without a single page behind it, and that emptiness shows on its own.

A walk through ordinary public addresses (Cookie robot in the profile menu) gives it a past before the account is opened. Nothing on that walk asks you to sign in.

  1. 1

    30 addresses of six kinds

The What to browse boxes: search, news, shopping, reference, video and forums, everyday. None of the addresses asks for a login.

  2. 2

    6 steps on every address

Open it, let the page settle, scroll, wait, scroll again, wait once more.

  3. 3

An order of its own per profile

Two profiles that walked the same addresses in the same order are tied together by that order.

Where the warning lights up

The bar under the count is green below 80 percent of the number for that day, amber from there, red at the number itself.

At none of those points will the app stop you: it colours a bar and leaves the decision with you. The numbers are set low on purpose, because no platform published its own.

A step never drops to zero

A fifth of one is zero, and a zero on day one would read as a ban on an action the scenario explicitly allows. So the day's figure is rounded up to one after the share is applied, and the Payment edits row on day one shows once rather than zero.

An action row on the ramp shows two figures behind a slash: today's and the full one. From day seven a single figure remains, and that is how you see the ramp is over.

The ramp counts the age of the profile

The week counts from the day you created the profile, not from the day the account was opened. The app cannot learn the account's opening date: the platform does not tell it.

So a new account inside a month-old profile gets no ramp, and its daily number is full from day one. If you want the ramp, create a fresh profile for the account.

Every scenario has its own ceiling

The ramp shares are the same for every scenario, while the ceilings differ: two hundred pages a day on social, a hundred and twenty on shops, forty on an ads console and on freelance boards.

Day one is a fifth of that: forty on social, twenty-four on shops, eight on ads. Day seven hands over the full number.

The walk before the first sign-in

The pool for a walk holds thirty ordinary addresses of six kinds: search, news, shopping, reference, video and forums, everyday. The walk covers the number you choose out of them, eight by default.

On each address the profile takes six steps and three pauses of different lengths, and the time on a page drifts between six and fourteen tenths of the figure you set. The walk never signs in anywhere, so empty slots on the platforms themselves stay empty.

What counts as an action

One action is one page opened in a profile window. The day turns over at midnight by the clock of the computer the profile runs on. So in Moscow the counting day begins at midnight Moscow time, and in New York at midnight New York time.

A profile you delete takes its count away with it, and a fresh one starts the first day over.

  • Counted

Every load of a new document in the main window: an address you typed, a link you followed if it changed the page, and a redirect.

  • Counted as well

A page a flow you built opens: it loads in the same profile window as your own clicking.

  • Not counted

A frame inside a page, an image, a background request, and the start page the app opens for you.

  • Not counted either

A tab you opened an hour ago and are still reading.

What happens to the count in the trash

A profile in the trash keeps its count: the rows of its day stay in place, and a profile brought back from the trash continues the same day from the same figure. Only the final deletion takes the count away.

Along with the count, the final deletion forgets the schedules, the notifications, the extension state and the launch journal. A profile created after that for the same account starts day one from zero and from a fifth.

What this ramp does not promise

  • Not one number here was published by any platform. These are cautious figures per kind of work, and we chose them.
  • A careful week removes one reason out of several. Phone numbers, payment details and what you publish sit outside the browser and weigh more.
  • Warm-up counts from the day the profile was made. A profile created today for an account from 2019 still reads day one of seven.
  • The numbers are not editable. Changing the kind of work swaps the whole set, and no field takes a figure of your own.

Questions

How many actions a day are safe on a new account?
On day one a fifth of the week's number: 40 pages on a social profile, 8 on an ads account. After that the steps run 35, 50, 65, 80, 90 and 100 percent.
Can I go faster than the ramp?
Yes, and nothing will stand in your way: the bar turns amber and then red, and the decision stays yours. The ramp is a shape that has held up, not a published rule.
The account is three years old and I made the profile today. Which day is it?
Day one of seven. The age of the account belongs to the platform, and a browser on your machine counts the age of the profile instead.
Does what a flow does for me get counted?
Yes. Pages a flow you built opens land on the same count as your own clicking, because they share one profile window.
Is starting ten new profiles at once a bad idea?
Ten accounts created within an hour read as one script, whatever names sit inside them. A bulk launch pauses a random few seconds before each opening after the first, and that is the most a browser can do.
What happens on day seven?
On the seventh day the daily number becomes full and the card stops naming a warm-up day. It shows how long ago you made the profile instead.
