Google Ads accounts

One profile per advertising account, each with its own device, its own exit address and its own daily ceiling. The numbers below are the ones the app counts in the ads scenario, and they sit deliberately lower than what the console itself would let you do.

What Google Ads sees

A Google session does not stop at the ads console: the same browser carries search, video and mail, and every one of them answers with the same device.

Two advertising accounts opened from one window are one advertiser to it, whatever the two logins say.

Click identifiers travel in links as well, so the app strips gclid and its relatives on every navigation and a link opened in one profile leaves no trail in another.

Manager accounts and shared access

The platform's own answer to holding several accounts is a manager account, with access granted to each person's email address instead of a password passed around.

A profile per account keeps the cookies, the device and the exit address apart, so the console that opens is the one you meant to open.

Why the ceilings exist

Money moves faster than content: a budget doubled at machine speed is exactly the change a review queue is built to catch.

The app counts the day and warns as you come near each ceiling. It does not stop you. The numbers are in the table beside this text.

First week of a new account

A brand new account does not get the full ceiling on day one. The ramp runs over seven days, because a fresh account doing a full day of work is itself the signal.

The ramp is a fraction of the scenario ceiling, so it follows that ceiling rather than living as a second number to keep in step.

One payment edit a day

Billing details are the change most likely to put an account in front of a reviewer, and a card swapped twice in one evening reads worse than any campaign edit.

So the ceiling here is a single edit a day and the warning sits at 99 percent: there is no gentle way to warn about a limit of one.

A card shared between two accounts ties them together on the platform's side, and browser separation does nothing about that.

What the rules actually say

Google lets one advertiser hold many accounts under a manager, and it acts against several accounts pushed into the same auction for the same business.

Read its policy before you scale. We link it rather than paraphrase it, because it changes and our paraphrase would go stale.

What this does not do

  • It does not make an account safe from suspension. Spend history, creatives and the landing page decide more than the browser does.
  • It does not lift the platform's own limits. The ceilings here are ours and they sit below its thresholds on purpose.
  • It does not hide a shared payment method. Two accounts billed to one card are linked on its side of the wire.
  • It does not separate accounts you have already opened side by side in one browser.

Questions

Can one person run several ad accounts?
Yes, and the platform offers a manager account for exactly that. What it acts on is several accounts pushing one business into the same auction.
Do I need a separate proxy per account?
A separate exit address per profile is the point of the thing. Two accounts leaving one address is the pattern a reviewer reads as one advertiser.
Why does the budget warning come at half?
Budget is the fastest way to change what an account spends, so the warning arrives early rather than at the edge.
What happens when I reach a ceiling?
Nothing stops. The count and the warning are shown, each action has its own threshold, and what you do with that is your call.
Can a team share one advertising account?
Yes, by granting access to each person's own email rather than passing one password around. Each seat then keeps its own profile and its own history.
