What the platform sees
Instagram reads the device before it reads the account: the graphics card, the fonts, the clock, the screen and the address the session comes from.
Two accounts that answer with one device are one person to it, whatever the logins say.
One profile per account
A profile is a separate browser with its own folder, its own derived device and its own proxy. Nothing crosses between two of them.
The mobile app is a separate matter: a browser profile covers the web, and the phone stays a phone.
Why the ceilings exist
Posting or following at machine speed is what gets an account noticed, and the ceiling is there to keep a person from doing it by accident.
The app counts the day and warns as you come near the ceiling. It does not stop you: the decision stays yours. The numbers are in the card beside this text.

The first week of a new account
A new account does not get the full ceiling on day one. The app ramps it over seven days, because the shape of a brand new account doing a full day of work is itself the signal.
The ramp is a fraction of the scenario ceiling, so it moves with it rather than being a second number to keep in step.

The address matters as much
An account opened from Berlin and then used from Sao Paulo an hour later is a flag no fingerprint can cover.
The exit country also sets the profile clock and its language list, so the three agree with each other.
What the rules actually say
Instagram allows several accounts and lets you switch between them in the app. What it acts on is behaviour: bulk creation, identical posting, rapid following, and sessions that look automated.
Read its own terms before you scale. We link them rather than paraphrase them, because they change and our paraphrase would go stale.
What this does not do
- It does not make accounts unbannable. Behaviour, content and history decide more than the device does.
- It does not cover the mobile app. A browser profile is a browser.
- It does not lift the platform's own limits. The ceilings here are ours and they are lower, on purpose.
- It does not separate accounts you already opened from one profile.

Questions
- How many accounts can one person run?
- There is no number that is safe for everyone. The ceilings here are per profile per day, and the app keeps the count for you rather than leaving you to guess.
- Does one proxy for two accounts work?
- It works and it is usually a mistake. Two accounts leaving through one address is the pattern the platform reads as one person.
- Can I warm an account up automatically?
- You can schedule a flow, and the ceilings apply to it exactly as they apply to your own clicking.
- What happens at the ceiling?
- Nothing stops. The count and the warning are shown, each action has its own threshold, and what you do with that is your call.
- Does the profile survive moving to another computer?
- Yes, with its id: the id is the seed of the device. Cookies carried without it produce a different machine with the same logins.
