The phone and the web
A browser profile is a browser: it covers the web version and nothing that happens inside a phone app.
The app can dress a profile as a phone, and it only does so when every reading agrees, because one borrowed line on a desktop machine is louder than no disguise at all.
So a profile covers the account you open in a browser, while a phone holding the same account stays your own device.
What the platform sees
TikTok reads the browser and the address together: graphics card, fonts, clock, screen and the country the session leaves from.
The country also sets the profile clock and its language list, so the three agree instead of contradicting each other.
The country has to agree
A safe day in numbers
The scenario carries a ceiling for each action, and the app shows them beside the profile.
It cannot count a comment for you, so these are the day you aim at while the counter beside them counts pages.
Follows are the count a young account spends fastest, and forty a day is where this scenario draws the line.
| Action | A day | Warning at |
|---|---|---|
| Posts | 15 | 70% |
| Comments | 30 | 60% |
| Likes | 120 | 70% |
| Follows | 40 | 60% |
| Messages | 25 | 60% |
| Searches | 30 | 75% |
First week of an account
The ramp counts from the day the profile is created, so a profile made together with the account keeps the two ages in step.
A brand new account working a full day is itself the shape that gets noticed.
| Day | Ceiling |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | 40 |
| Day 2 | 70 |
| Day 3 | 100 |
| Day 4 | 130 |
| Day 5 | 160 |
| Day 6 | 180 |
| Day 7 and after | 200 |
Uploads carry the most weight
Fifteen posts a day is the ceiling here, and on a young account a fraction of that is already plenty.
The first week is about watching, searching and following as much as it is about posting.
A young account that watches and searches before it uploads is the ordinary shape, and the ramp is built around it.
A clip that took an hour to shoot deserves more than a minute of thought about when it goes up.
What the rules actually say
TikTok lets a person hold more than one account and acts on coordinated behaviour: one clip posted from many accounts, bulk following, automated sessions.
We link its own rules rather than paraphrase them, because they change and a paraphrase of ours would go stale.
Several accounts in one pair of hands can breach those rules, and that is said here rather than left out.
What this does not do
- It does not cover the phone app. What happens inside it is outside a browser profile.
- It does not make an account unbannable. The clip and the behaviour decide more than the browser does.
- It does not stop you at the ceiling. The count and the warning are shown and the decision stays yours.
- It does not count uploads or comments for you. Those numbers are a day you keep by hand.

Questions
- Does a mobile template make the profile a phone?
- It makes the browser answer as one, with every reading derived together so they do not contradict each other. The phone app itself stays a phone app.
- Can a creator account and a shop share a profile?
- They hang off one login, so they belong in one profile. A second login is a second profile.
- Does the country of the address matter?
- It matters twice: it decides what the platform shows and it sets the profile clock and language list.
- What if I also open the account on my phone?
- Nothing in the app stops you. The account then has two devices behind it, which is ordinary for a person and worth keeping steady.
- What does the bar beside the profile count?
- Pages opened in that profile today, against the ramped ceiling. It goes amber at four fifths and red at the ceiling.
