Geolocation spoofing

Position is the one value a site has to ask you for out loud. Everything else about where you are is read quietly, from the country of your address and from the clock that sits next to it.

Geolocation spoofing is answering a site's request for your position with coordinates chosen in advance rather than measured.

How a site asks for your position

A page calls the position interface and the browser puts a prompt in front of you. Nothing reaches the page until that prompt is answered.

The prompt names the site and waits, and a page cannot answer it on your behalf.

The reading comes from nearby networks or from a receiver in the device, and it is accurate to a street.

What a profile carries instead

A profile describes a machine and the country it leaves through. The clock and the language list are aligned with that country at launch, and there is no field in a profile for a latitude.

So the honest way to sit in a city is to leave through an address registered there. Coordinates stay a separate surface behind a prompt, and a refusal is an ordinary answer that sites are built to handle.

Why the pair matters more

An address in one country next to a clock from another gives a visitor away harder than any single reading. It is a contradiction rather than a rarity, and a contradiction needs no reference set to be spotted.

That is why a profile aligns the clock and the language list with the exit country and leaves position alone. Coordinates you were never asked for are not what closes an account.

What this does not do

ARMANOS does not put invented coordinates in the browser. Nothing in the product rewrites what the position interface answers, so a site you allow reads the real thing.
It does not give a profile a place on the map. A profile holds a machine, an exit country, a clock and a language list, and no coordinates at all.
It does not change what your address says about you. Whoever sells the address decides which city it is registered to, and a check reads that registration.
It does not hide the network you sit on. A browser can hand a page addresses from your own network while setting up a call, and that is closed by a separate rule at launch.

Questions

Can ARMANOS set my coordinates?: No. Nothing in the product writes a position, so a site you allow reads the real reading. What a profile does align with its address is the clock and the language list.
Does a site get my position without asking?: Not from the position interface. It does get a rough place from your address, and that one needs no permission at all.
Is IP geolocation the same thing?: No. One is a measurement on your device behind a prompt, the other is a record about your address, and only the second is read on every visit.
Should I allow the prompt?: Refusing leaves the site with your address, and that is the place a profile is built around. Allowing it hands over a street.
What if the work needs a particular city?: Then the address has to be registered in that city. The clock and the language list then follow the country of that address by themselves.
