Why the ceiling is lower
A profile view here is visible to the person viewed, and an invitation lands in front of a human who can mark it unwanted.
Both of those are counted by the network itself, so a day is fifty actions, a quarter of what the general social scenario allows.
Fifty is the ceiling on the counter beside the profile, and the four action numbers below live inside that day.
A real name behind it
The network is built around one account per person, and a second identity is read against the first from the day it appears.
The work here is usually outreach under your own name, so a profile protects one account rather than hiding a crowd.
Two accounts under one name are what the network sees soonest, because the people you invite see them too.
A safe day in numbers
Four counts carry this scenario, and the first two are the ones the network watches most closely.
The whole day is fifty, so a day of nothing but profile views is already the whole day.
Twenty five messages a day is a real conversation load, and it is the count that empties first in a busy week.
| Action | A day | Warning at |
|---|---|---|
| Profile views | 50 | 70% |
| Invitations | 15 | 60% |
| Messages | 25 | 75% |
| Searches | 30 | 75% |
First week of an account
The ramp counts from the day the profile is created and it starts at ten.
Ten a day reads as a person looking around. Fifty on the first day reads as a tool.
| Day | Ceiling |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | 10 |
| Day 2 | 18 |
| Day 3 | 25 |
| Day 4 | 33 |
| Day 5 | 40 |
| Day 6 | 45 |
| Day 7 and after | 50 |

Search has its own limit
The network measures searching apart from everything else and puts its own monthly cap on it.
Thirty a day is what this scenario keeps, and searching is the cheapest way to spend a day without noticing.
A search that returns a page of people is one search, and the profile you open afterwards is already a view.
What the rules actually say
LinkedIn asks for one account per person under a real name and acts on automated collection of data from it.
We link its own rules rather than paraphrase them: the rules change and a paraphrase falls behind them.
A second account under your name can breach those rules, and this page says so rather than selling you around it.
What this does not do
- It does not make an account unbannable. What you send and to whom decides more than the browser does.
- It does not stop you at the ceiling. The count and the warning are shown and the decision stays yours.
- It does not count invitations or messages for you. Those four numbers are a day you keep by hand.
- It does not lift the network own caps on search and invitations. The numbers here are ours and they are lower on purpose.

Questions
- Why fifty and not two hundred?
- Because the two counts that matter here, profile views and invitations, are visible to real people and to the network at once. A feed forgives volume, a business network does not.
- Can one person hold two accounts here?
- The network is built for one, and a second is read against the first. If you keep two, keep them in separate profiles with separate addresses.
- Does a paid seat change these numbers?
- The scenario numbers stay as they are. A paid seat changes what the network lets you do, not what a safe day looks like.
- What does the bar beside the profile count?
- Pages opened in that profile today, against the ramped ceiling. The four action numbers beside it are guidance you keep yourself.
- Does the ramp start again every week?
- No. It runs once over the first seven days and then holds at the scenario number.
